I’m Sure It’s Fine
While some of this dialog is made up, the pained scream followed by a shouted “I’m being gentle!” is a direct quote. As parents, we paused and listened for the sounds of crying or further screaming, but all was well.

Just Do It
I have started to experience these kinds of bizarre out-of-context sentences once again as my children have started playing Minecraft. “I covered my place in Creeper heads.” “Oh man, that’s creepy.” Yeah. It is creepy. As are the discussions about the pros and cons of killing livestock and villagers.

Aha Moment
She ran into the room, didn’t search at all, and exclaimed “aha” as if she’d discovered him. It was perfectly convincing and very efficient, as her brother popped right out of his very good hiding spot. Real outside-the-box thinking.

King of the Kart
We’ve all been there, being a little too competitive in a game against a child, right? …right?

Ah, the immediate realization that victory would be certain but hollow. An excellent life lesson.
